Philly-Mark McCoy opening Dec 5

We are inviting you to join us this Friday, December 5 for theopening of Mark McCoy’s WOUND collage art exhibit. WOUND was released
earlier this year as a collection of work and the original pieces will
be shown at Juanita and Juan’s in Philadelphia from December 5th until
December 31st.
Mark McCoy is an artist and musician living in New York. His artwork
has been featured in ANP Quarterly, Punk is Dead, Indestructible
Wolves of the Apocalypse Junkyard, and various record covers
including some of his own for Charles Bronson, Das Oath, and
Failures.
This event will go from 7PM until 10PM and features musical
accompaniment and special performance by New York’s Beaut.
Original artwork from WOUND and limited prints and shirts for this
event will be available only at Juanita and Juan’s.
Juanita and Juan’s is located at 125 N. 11th St in Philadelphia on
the corner of 11th and Cherry Streets, a block from the Chinatown bus

Opening December 2, 2008 - 8pm-midnight featuring Deitch Projects, Peres Projects, Nueva Galeria De La Barra, A.S.S. Gallery, A.M.P., Picturebox and TV Books with curators Tim Barber, Kathy Grayson, Andreas Melas, Dan Nadel, Pablo de la Barra, Nicola Vassell and Terence Koh.
Aaron Bondaroff, New York City’s “Downtown Don”, brings his expansive community of artists, musicians, and weirdos to IT AIN’T FAIR. The second exhibition in Bondaroff and Al Moran’s groundbreaking O.H.W.O.W. space in the “West of Wynwood” district, this watershed project gets celebrated curators Tim Barber, Kathy Grayson, Andreas Melas, Dan Nadel, Pablo de la Barra, Nicola Vassell and Terence Koh to activate their various teams of artists in a huge multimedia exhibition featuring painting, sculpture, video and performance from artists all over the world with a focus on downtown Manhattan.
Over thirty artists will contribute to this exhibition, including a curated outdoor film series and a nightclub in the adjoining space that will include performances by The Gossip, TV Baby, and JD Samson, just to name a few. A hub of art activity, O.H.W.O.W. will be the first and last place you go each night of this year’s Art Basel Miami. So for all you Froo Froo veggie/vegans there’s a new froo froo veggie/vegan restaurant in town so you can stop eating fake buffalo chicken from foodswings and actually go eat something relatively decent.
DirtCandy is the newest in gourmet veg offerings in nyc. I haven’t had it, and who knows if I ever will but if anyone goes to it let me know how it is. It looks like this:
